Recovering Calendar Events

Anyone know if it is possible to recover all my Calendar events which I accidently deleted when I was trying to clear data on my phone.
I have an HTC Desire and it is the Calendar App which comes with the phone.
I am lost without the Events I had created.

Couple of questions to help diagnose the problem:

1. You just cleared the data on your device, not the actual calendar correct?
2. What calendar app are you using, stock?
3. Are you adding events to your google account, correct?
4. in the calendar app itself, have you logged into the google account where you created the events and is that account checked?

Also, have you gone to a desktop and logged into your google account, opened up the calendar to see if the events are there?

It isn't a Google Calendar I'm afraid. It is one which came with the phone. I did check Google Calendar but I don't use that.
