recovering iphone user needs help

I am a recovering iPhone user... please don't hold it against me. I started with just a Samsung galaxy captivate running froyo. Now I have added a Toshiba thrive tablet . My main question is when I purchase apps on my phone and I log into my tablet will the apps automatically appear on my tablet? Both of them are connected to the same Gmail account. Thanks!!!

If you purchase an app under a certain gmail account you can use that app for any device that you activate with that account. It will not automatically appear, you will need to download it but you will noticed that the app will say Purchased instead of the price.

no.. you still have to go to the market on the tablet.. and install the app.

but since you are using the same gmail account.. then you dont have to purchase it again.

I'm not sure about your particular tablet. When I bought an Asus Eee Pad Transformer, many of the apps that I had installed on my Android phone were automatically installed on my Eee Pad tablet. A few did not install automatically and I had to manually install them.

I believe there is an option that keeps a device synced, and that will cause the device to automatically install apps that were previously purchased.
