Hi

I am trying to recover from a dead Samsung S8+, used Firmware from sammobile version Kenya SG955F.

Kindly advise if i am doing the right thing...

We'd need more information to answer that. We only know what you write, so have no way of knowing whether the Kenyan build is correct for your handset. Plus "dead" can mean any number of things, so we've no way of knowing whether a firmware flash is relevant or even possible.

Please provide a full description of the device and the problem if you want advice. There's no harm in providing too much information, but leaving something out can make it impossible to answer or even mislead people about the situation. Remember that we know nothing except what you write, so don't make assumptions about what will be obvious to us. :)

what is your model number? where did you get the firmware? do you have a link for it? what happened to your phone? how long has it been like this?

like @Hadron suggested, the more info you give us, the better we can help.

At first when i try to attempt to factory reset. the following error arises:

"wiping data...
formatting /data...
formatting /cache...
data wipe complete.
E: [libfs_mgr]is_dt_compatible(): firmware info was not valid : '/proc/device-tree
/firmware/android/compatible : no such file or directory"

Model of my phone, as seen on the back of the phone case (SM-G955F) and i am not sure of the region.

The region is Germany

Well if the region is Germany I'd try German rather than Kenyan firmware.

You should be able to find just about any firmware at Sammobile.com.
