Root Recovery/Fastboot or Download Mode

After I rooted my LG Optimus Showtime using unlockroot.com, I installed a few root apps and restarted my phone. Now, it boots up to the blue screen with the Tracfone/StraightTalk logo. I need to know how to get it into recovery/fastboot mode or download mode so I can install the stock rom, right? But, I cannot find anything online about how to do this. I can get to the hard factory reset screen, but this does nothing to change it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the forums. I see your having trouble with a android device . . I need to confirm root has taken place ,so feel free to download a rootchecker from the play store . This is free of charge ,reason asking cause it looks as if you didn't root.

Thank you so much for taking time to reply! Though, I had checked the rootchecker and it did state that I had proper root access before it did this. I am unable to get past the boot screen, therefore I would not be able to check that now.

I did not use or install a recovery. I did attempt to create a backup using an app, but I do not believe it did anything. I don't remember what app I was using.

I think I used Orange something... what can I do, though? I was hoping to get it in some sort of recovery mode so I could install/boot the stock ROM from my SD card..

Did you ever get the phone drivers for the pc installed if not that's your only way to get device working again you need the adb driver . And check to see if you have USB DEBUGGER checked if not please check this option . Now what is the full make and model of your device

My phone will not turn on so I cannot check the USB debugger, but it was on before the incident. And I will need to download the adb driver with Ubuntu, will that work? My device is LG L86C Optimus Showtime.

Yes you can but you will not have no root this will put you back to stock so you can do the rooting the correct way .

Ok you will need this to repair

Now what you want to do is download all usb device drivers for this to work .when done with the drivers you want to first check for UPDATES TO THE DEVICE. If not updates you want to leave the device plugged to the usb . Go to the top right corner the drop down box .select UPDATE RECOVERY .this will take 45-50 minutes please don't unplug device while updates are taken place . Post back if any other problems

Ok this is the lg site and a lg update tool it would only update drivers to either update a software or update recovery . It won't affect the other drivers
