Root Recovery question

I have read that Optimus s roms work on the v. Can the s recovery work on the v? If so do I use the recovery guide for the s or do I have to do something different?

I have rooted optimus v I have superuser but no nandroid just android recovery did I do somthing wrong

daveo420 you can be rooted and still have the standard recovery. You have to actually flash a custom recovery to have it. My suggestion would be to use Romtools you can find here [AIO] ROMTools v2.3.1 (ex-recoveryflasher) Tons of new features! - Android Forums Just make sure you rename the included recovery.img to vrecovery.img then just select flash recovery to phone and you can get a custom recovery.

I used the rom tools and it works flawlessly. Took me a total of 10 min to root,flash,backup,and instal a custom rom. It took me an hour to root my optimus s when I had it lol.
