Help Recurring comma space' when trying to write new SMS

Every time I open my SMS app and don't have a recent tread going of the person I am attempting to contact, it select 'new sms' and when I start typing the persons name, a comma followed by a space puts itself between each letter I am trying to type.

I have to wait it out (60-90sec) every time for this glitch to go away.

Any ideas on what this might be? It is just the stock SMS app, should I just try getting another one from the app store?

I never had this issue before,are u using stock messaging app??I would suggest trying out gosms it works great I never had any issues with it.

Yes, using stock app.

I rooted phone and added super user and wifi tether shortly after getting phone, but other than that nothing has been touched.

I will give gosms a try, thank you

I had that problem also, but I had to send my phone in to Samsung for other issues and they flashed it....Not having the texting problem since...
