Help Red Light Puzzlement

Starting about a month ago, the red charging light has taken to coming and staying on when not charging. I swapped out the battery after a week of this, and it seemed ok for another week before starting to do it again. Red light only comes on when the phone is sleeping and goes out when you wake the phone. Both batteries are official Samsung and are 4 months old, as is the note 3.

Not overly worried about this, as there doesn't appear to be any effect on performance, other than a slightly faster power drain than a month ago. However....a constant red light is something I'd like explained before it does become a worry.

Return the phone. I can't be sure about this because I don't have it in my hand but few Galaxies in the past had the problem where it would say it's ''Charging'' when there is nothing connected. It's hardware problems and you should check it out while you have warranty. Of course unless you have custom ROM or such
