Reducing android boot time

hi all,

I am using android 2.3.7 in at91sam9g45, it takes 50 sec to complete boot, i want the android to boot up in 6-8 sec does any one have any idea , can any one help i am new to android

And i have reduced the android boot time to 36 sec by removing the android boot animation logo and some of the unwanted driver from the kernel side


NOTE:
I have put the logcat with time stamps enabled in that i noticed that the function dvm_gc_info is taking more time to load, i don't know what is dvm_gc_info can any one tell me what the function is doing in the booting process of android

I am using Android 2.3.9 version..is it possible to upgrade to latest Android version ? and how ?

i am using it in at91sam9g45evk board, not in any mobile device, this is a client requirement that's why i am using this, and how can i upgrade the android
