Reflashing Phone From Metro

Hi all,
I'm looking at buying an Epic 4G Touch that is currently flashed for Metro PCS. Would the process to reflash it to Sprint be as simple as rooting the phone and flashing Sprint's stock E4GT ROM back onto it?
If not, how could I go about this?

My advice is stay away from this phone. Stay away from any phones flashed to another carrier - ie Cricket, etc.

You never know if the ESN was bad, or if it will have firmware issues once flashed to another carrier.

I'd just buy a clean Sprint phone.

Easy to find out if the ESN is clean, simply call Sprint and give them the ESN they will tell you if it is clean, then if it is then yes is simple to flash back to the Stock Sprint Rom.

Thanks guys, that's exactly what I needed to confirm! I also had/have some worries about the ESN, but the deal will take place in a Sprint store so I can check it there
