Root Reflashing SECURITY Error

Korish

Lurker
So, after many months of using one of my favorite ROMS - BlissPop for the Volt, I decided to switch back to stock as the green tinted screen and no video playback plagued me. I created titanium backups of everything I wished to backup as well as a TWRP Nandroid backup of the data and system - both which I moved to an external HDD where they will be safe. (I also proceeded to delete the nandroid backup off my device, not the external HDD for space/storage reasons.

Then, I flashed the stock odexed zv5 rom and blah blah setup blah blah kernel blah; you get the point. After using the stock rom for a while, I decided that I liked BlissPop better. So, (I backed up the stock rom for worst case scenario) I formatted the the data, system, dalvik, and regular cache partitions to re-install BlissPop like any clean-flasher would do. I successfully adb pushed the twrp folder to /sdcard/ containing the system and data folders (file names: data.ext4.win; data.ext4.win.md5; data.info; recovery.log, system.ext4.win; system.ext4.win.md5; and system.info) and proceeded to restore or "reflash" the data and system modules - which I did successfully.

HERES THE CATCH: When I try to boot, I get an LG Security Error bootloop. RIP. Pls help.

Bad download maybe, try re-downloading or reinstalling zv5, factory resetting through TWRP then flashing Blisspop

I'm just guessing here, but maybe the mistake you made was formatting the system. I never check that option. I usually find that checking the data, dalvik and cache are sufficient enough. Or I just do a factory reset.

Im guessing your boot img is corrupted or you are using the stock boot img., In any case you can extract it from the rom zip file and flash the image in TWRP. Or flash blisspop zip, then restore your backup.
