Root Reformat Ally?

I've got Velocity ROM, Link2SD, rooted, and all that bling, love it totally but it's gotten oddly slow and buggy lately, SOMETIMES hanging for as long as 10s or more when it refreshes the screen and/or loads an app; sometimes but intermittent and semi-random. Factory reset doesn't seem to fix it, although changing the governor from smartass to ondemand has helped a little.

Unless there's a 'better' ROM then Velocity (not that I've found so far, at least!) I'd like to kill the partitions completely, DD it and wipe it/clear the flash completely, etc, so I know there's nothing 'hanging around' then reflash it to velocity on a totally blank slate.

I don't know if what I want is the best choice, or even possible 9safely), but I get the feeling something glitched when I flashed Velocity over the stock, since I restored it back to stock after bricking it the first time I tried (with a different ROM).

try to format your SD Card, then copy over Stormdroid 2.0 (Super Smooth, Assuming your on FroYo) and wipe everything and flash.
