Root Reformatting a rooted fascinate to sell

cegarbage

Lurker
I have been using 2.3.5 on my Verizon Samsung Fascinate and had it rooted. I did a factory reset on it because I want to sell it. It has the "superuser" icon after reformating.

I recall I ran a bunch of steps to root, maybe even installed some applications post rooting (busybox??), but I lost all of it when I did a reset.

I want to sell this clean and not have the user encounter any problems. Will it work fine rooted after a reformat? Or should I use Odin to unroot it with a factory load?

Since the phone no longer has service, I don't have the ability to install anything or test.

Thanks!

Use Odin to restore it to factory. If you're selling it to someone random, you could always say that it has root already, but if you're selling it back to a store or something, odin to factory.
