Help Refresh Books Widget

I have the Google Play Books widget on my home screen. Last night I purchased a new book & can see it when I open the Books app, but it doesn't show up in the widget. Is the widget supposed to automatically refresh when I add a new book? Is there a way to manually refresh it?

Yes goto the settings and then to accounts sync. Now tap the gmail section . You will see a bunch of boxes . Make sure the box that has books sync is checked . If so now hit the menu button and you will see snyc all . Let it sync now go back to the books apk and open it and your books should be there

I'm not sure you caught the details of my problem. I can see the new book in the Books app, but it's not showing up in the Books widget on my home screen.
