Refurbished Devices

The earpiece on my GN is crackling like crazy now, in a addition to a host of other possible hardware related issues. My phone is a launch day device.

I just opted over the phone for a refurbished replacement after begging them to just give me a new one.
I don't have good experiences with refurbished phones.

Is anybody here using one without issue?
Any tips on how to get them to just give me a new one instead?

I hear you getting a used phone is getting anotherpoor souls heart ache. Try calling customer service and talk with a sup you could find one to help you keep trying if they say no.

Verizon is shipping me my 4th Nexus (3rd replacement). The replacements have all been refurbished devices but they have all been problematic. It's obvious they were sent back for the very reasons I have sent them back. I love this phone but it's quickly becoming a love/hate relationship.
