Reinstall stock rom from Verizon

It's actually very simple. All you gotta do is reflash it.

What you need?

- Computer
- Ability to download large files (1.5GB max of the separate downloads)
- Ability to install applications
- Stable Micro USB cable

So, lets get started.

- First thing you will need is this: Application for download Original LG Firmware - xda-developers

- Direct download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=592871&d=1305116848

Extract it.

Now then, insert "VS840" (without the quotes) into model of phone.

As for the serial number, it is NOT needed.

What you need is your IMEI number, located under your battery.

Now input next to where it writes "Phone serial number".

Click Save, and save it on your desktop for easy access.

This will download the LATEST firmware for the device. [VS840ZV9]

-----

Next, go and get the LG Lucid drivers if needed. They are straight from the LG Website.

Download: LG VS840 Support: Find Manuals & Warranty Info | LG USA

Direct download: http://tool.xcdn.gdms.lge.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=UW00520120427

Install them, and then wait for your download in the LG Firmware downloader to finish.

---

Next, download the KDZ package tools.

It can be found on this post: http://androidforums.com/lucid-all-things-root/654009-guide-unbrick-lg-lucid.html

Direct download: KDZ_FW_UPD_EN

Extract the KDZ files.

If it comes off as a virus, ignore it. Some antivirus software detects something, but they are clean. I use these tools myself all of the time.

---

After the download is finished, you will need to open and install the "msxml" executable file.

Afterwards, open the "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin" executable file.
- If your screen is too small (happened to me on a netbook) use alt move to see the bottom.

Go down to "Encrypt cab file to kdz file".
Select the firmware your LG Firmware Downloader downloaded, onto your desktop.

Go ahead and let it finish. It will show up under "test" with the file directory and all, when it is finished.

---

Now, we will have to get your device into download mode.
Simple power it off, and get your stable USB cable.
Connect your device, and hold volume up, volume down, and power at the same time.
It should show a download screen.

Then you can put your device down, and proceed.

---

Let Windows fully install the drivers to your device, if one or two fail that is fine.

Open the "KDZ_FW_UPD" executable file.
Set the "PhoneMode" to "Emergency".

Select the KDZ file that you made earlier.

Click "Launch software update".
Let it run.

The program WILL freeze up at first, and Windows will tell you it is not responding.

It's best to leave the program alone.

The program log will tell you when it finishes, after it unfreezes itself.

---

After this, you should successfully have reflashed your LG Lucid back to the stock VS840ZV9 firmware.

Hope this helped ya' out!
