Root Reinstall System Apps

Hey everyone,

I was hoping to get some help on a pickle I placed myself in. I rooted my HTC Incredible last week to remove the bloatware on my phone, then my coworker said I could remove several other apps/features that I would never use and keep my system stable, so he downloaded the titanium app. The very first thing he removed was something like this:

[VOICEMAIL] htc.system.app...

The moment he removed it we keep getting this system error:

The application Settings (process com.android.settings} has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Im ok with reinstalling all bloatware if it's possible. Any help would be appreciated!

Easiest method would just be to install a stock 2.2 or 2.3 rom. It would be pointless to unroot to install 2.3 while there is 2.3 roms available.

Very good to know! now question, can you point me to a guide that shows one how to install a 2.3 rom? and is there any you would suggest? Im a big fan of app organization within the app drawer, so if there's one that comes standard with that, pointing that one out would be very kind of you :)

There is a couple guides in the root sticky at the top of the forum.

Here's the official gingerbread rom:

Basically, download rom to somewhere you will remember on your sd card
Boot into recovery
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Select advanced and wipe dalvik
select install file from sdcard
Find and install rom

First boot may take a while, BE PATIENT

*press the trackball to choose options, press the power button to go back a menu in recovery*
