If i reinstall windows will i still be able to use odin after the reinstall? ie will drivers reinstall for odin use, or do i have to backup any files during reinstall???

You will need to reinstall the Samsung USB drivers. These are installed with KIES, may be installed when you first connect the phone (not sure) and no doubt can be found if you type samsung galaxy s2 usb drivers into Google (other Internet search engines are available
