Relatively New to Android

Hi, everyone!

I say that I'm relatively new because I've been around Android devices for a while now. A few of my friends have them, but they aren't really tech-oriented people. And they don't like me tinkering around with their devices. I don't know why.

I've been using the same Blackberry for about 3 years now. Yeah. It's pretty old, and showing it's age. So I decided to try out an Android. As a person that has been toying around with Linux for a few years now (as a hobby), one would think that I would have gotten one already. But I believed that phones are for calling people.

Anyhow, I went out to get another phone since it was high time for a change of pace. Not being that picky of a person, I got whatever looked relatively up-to-date, and didn't go for anything too fancy. I ended up with the Prevail, and the next thing I know I'm rooting and downloading ROMs. This is the most interesting device I've had in quite some time. I generally don't find phones to be as interesting as people make them out to be (I still don't see why they call Blackberries "crack-berries". What is there to get addicted to?).

Well, I'm new here, and I'm looking forward to being a part of this community.

Hey doc, welcome to these forums. I hope you enjoy your new Prevail and will use these forums to better your user experience. I suspect you've found the Prevail area as well as it's root area. If not, just give a shout and we'll toss you a link. Have fun and thanks for joining Android Forums.
