I turned on the Wifi hotspot on my Galaxy S2 as I needed internet access on (my now sd-card-less) iPhone. I was curious about how well it performed, so I ran a speed test on the iPhone, and then on the GS2.
On the GS2 I got ~ 3000kbps, but on the iPhone I only got ~500 kbps. I don't expect exactly the same performance due to overhead and whatnot, but the difference was shocking. Anyone have any theories of why there is such a discrepancy between the two?
