Reliable encrypted notes?

Looking for an app to keep some personal info like passwords and less frequently used PIN codes written up but safe. Looking at Google Play I see many options and even some I've used but never noticed they encrypt too (Color Note).

Can you recommend some? Obviously anything asking for net rights kills my trust immediately so nothing ad supported will do.

Well that would also kill my top recommendation of Lastpass.

Anyone familiar with Safe Notes Pro? The Pro version costs little and thus does not require the net permissions unlike the free ad supported version. Just wonder if these are cracked open easily or if they properly encrypt stuff...

I'm not really paranoid but on my PC I use TrueCrypt and that kind of open source application really leaves me no doubts.
