I'm looking for a reliable (free) decibel meter app that will work well with something like the Galaxy S4 and its built in mic.
It's important it can also detect LOW levels reliable because i need to detect the difference between background noise (which when silent should be around 30db) and the noise an airco makes.
If you have such an app, could you please simply test and post what reading it gives you when you're in a silent room.. it should be around 30db, not more then 40db.
Which apps can you recommend and are they free?
