Remote access to files

I am running Windows Home Server with a webdav share accessible over the net (3G) as https://ipadd/webfoldersshare/user

I can access my server files on android using WebDav Navigator lite (which is great) but no other application will work.

WebDav File Manager - cannot connect to server even though it is supposed to support SSL
File Explorer - connection fails even though it supports WebDav (but not SSL?)
Stock browser (Cyanogen 7) can see files but downloads fail.
Strongs ES File Explorer - cannot connect to server (I guess it doesn't support SSL and/or Webdav)

Any idea why WebDavNavigator works but nothing else will?

Sounds like you need the full version. I just copied this from the description in the Market for the app:

""Is this preview release downloading files to local storage is disabled, as well as uploading files from anywhere on the storage card.""

My bad, That was a reply to a post about 3gwatchdeog app. That is what I get for having more than one tab open. I looked up your WebDav File Manager and decided I did not know enough to help you. I have had server problems with the apps, Qloud, and another I can not remember now. It turned out that my ISP is Hughes Net and for the server to work properly one must have a Static IP address, which Hughes Net will provide for an extra $10. a month which is not bad if I were to use it a lot, but I don't.

I think your problem may be in your router and you may need to set up Port Forwarding and that is why I decided not to respond, because I can not Port Forward with my ISP and I have done all the steps, it just will not work because of the Static IP thing.

Nothing to do with my router as one of the applications work and the other does not. I've been using WebDav on PCs for many years as well. The author of WEBDav File manager is aware and is workig on the issue.
