Remote Desktop App with Mouse functionality

I've been using splashtop with my eee pad transformer and it works great. I can even play music and videos online and streams both audio and video, but the only problem is you can't really use all the mechanics of a windows OS as fluently when bottle-necked with touch screen gestures as opposed to using a mouse. I'm just wondering if there is an remote desktop app that can utilize all the functionality of a mouse if i hook one up to my android device. I've tried quite a few apps so far, but without luck.

Afaik there are no ways to operate a phone with a mouse, because 1) phones are hardware-challenged to work with a mouse: they have no (extra) connection for a USB plug (you'd need the one you've got for charging). And 2) phones are software-challenged to work with a mouse: Android wasn't designed for it. Hasn't got the operating system or UI code for it.

You can use any bluetooth device with android. PS3 controller, wii controller, mouse, whatever. Plus in my case I can plug a usb mouse directly into my eee pad's dock. And it has a cursor and everything. Since there is a function to do every mouse command through touch gestures, then i dont see why it would be too hard for someone to write a program that take these functions and map them to mouse buttons.

In the SDK there is no API for input devices like a mouse. It would need to be written just for a device like the transformer. Also it takes specific apps to make bluetooth devices work and they don't work for all devices. If you don't think it would be too hard the SDK is available for download at Android Developers

I only know some java (not c++), and unfortunately, I don't think splashtop would allow me to edit their code.

Actually there are mice that work just fine with the asus transformer and other devices. PhoneMyPC works great on my xformer and all of my phones and includes a mouse function.

Have you ever used the 2x app? It scrolls real time as if you were on your desktop, and replaces the back key with right click. only problem is that you it has no audio, and runs videos online extremely choppily. How does this compare to the PhoneMyPC app? I'm hesitant to drop $15 on it. not sure if i could set it up and test everything in the 15 minute return time.

Damn its 15 bucks now??? Lol i bought it a while ago when it was in beta for $.99... the frame rate isnt good enough for video playback. It does have audio streaming however but its not exactly hifi.
