Help Remote desktope help

Hi all, I have a small question wich is rather specific in it's application.
I wonder how this would work?
I have a digital controlled model railroad (my other hobby :D), and to control it, I can use my Iconia with an app called "JMRI engine driver".
The thing is that I have to have a laptop connected to the railroad thru the interface, wich then talks to the tablet via WiFi.
I would love to get rid off the laptop and instead use something like a Asus eee box eb1012.
Could I use an app like this to control it?
Splashtop
Then I could use my Iconia to the fullest! :)
Appreciate your help.

I think your best bet would be to go to the Developers web site and ask him and read more reviews. I don't think anyone will be able to help you on this forum cause it is such an uncommon use of the tablet. But Ive been wrong before.

I use PocketCloud remote RDP/VNC and it works fine with my Asus Eeepc for what I want to do (I don't use JMRI Engine driver though) . It's free so you could try it out. The eebox is basically an Eeepc without a screen, so no reason it shouldn't work.

Just wondering though why you wouldn't use JMRI: Engine Driver Throttle for Android instead of splashtop or other remote desktop?

Oh but I will use the JMRI app, it's just that I would like to be able to control the software with my tablet.
I would like to be able to not use the screen on the PC if that is possible at all.

OK, but you will still need to plug a screen and a keyboard into the eebox at some point to set up the remote desktop software.
