Help remote rooting

Lurker
Hi and first time posting here. I want to root my SM-N900V, I'm somewhat, comfortable with Team Viewer.
What I'm uncomfortable is allowing an unknown person in my computer and android. I'm like most people who has a lot of passwords saved, etc.
Has anyone done this? Are my concerns paranoia? Any recommended remote rooters or bad rooters you would like to share?
Thanks Artie

My most genuine advice is to read and learn to root yourself.
Not just for the security threats, more for the fact that if your phone decides to bootloop or you want to update the firmware, you'll be clueless

I have been wanting to do the root myself for a year. I have successfully rooted an older android and I have messed one up, also. I just need a home run for this root.
I am confused by so many different specific root approaches, and even that my device is rootable?
SM-N900V
Verizon
Android v. 4.4.4
I'm not looking so much to hot rod the device.
I want to remove bloatware and control.
Used Note 3 getting are closer to the price point of buying one rooted or to root myself, and have a plan B.
It would be cheaper to have mine done by a trusted vendor.
Thanks Artie

I have read that. And that was one of my fears. The last 2 updates from Verizon, I declined and declined by doing the install later deal, and it just did it. My bad. I'm wondering if in the future, 4.4.4 will be rootable? Until then, I'll be sobbing myself to sleep, Artie

It's possible but the device has a locked bootloader which means no custom ROMS will be available so it may not be high on the "to do " list.

Thanks and its not important to me to have a custom ROM. I have 2 apps that does not like the 4.4.4 update. Does the locked boot loader prevent me going back to KitKat or ICS? And prevent me from declining future updates?

Nothing should prevent you from declining future updates, but going back is probably not an option. Certainly you won't be able to revert a Note 3 to ICS because it was released with JB, so there won't be an ICS release for it.
