Help remove Clock from lock screen (not rooted)

SG3 Not rooted.

Is there a way to remove the clock from the lock screen? I saw some reference to widgetlocker, but don't know if that will work on a non-rooted phone. I notice that the clock widget on the lock screen is sucking down 20-25% of my battery. I keep the S3 in a holster 99% of the time, so I don't need to see the clock.

Widget locker is a $$ app, anything out there for free that will do this? Also seems to me widgetlocker is for creating more widgets and screens, not removing them.

Go to setting -> Security and lock screen -> Lock screen options -> Go down to clock and untick the box
I don’t see how it should affect your battery life though: D

well, I will be an SOB! how in the hell did I miss that. :) According the Battery Doctor and ICS "battery" the clock is pulling more power than my "Touchdown for exchange" app is.

I have disabled some of the other tickers and such (yahoo news, stock daemon, etc).

I was just at this screen last week enabling the "quick camera access" to start the camera from the lock screen

Thanks

Yeah, Trust me.
My penis takes up more energy than that clock: D
I did a little research and couldn’t find nothing, you sure you read the reading right? Maybe a screen shot of what you're seeing?
