remove entries from frequently called contacts (not call log)
 
There's an app called History Eraser that will remove the frequently called list from Samsung phones. Worked for my Verizon S3. Note: some options are checked to be deleted by default. If you only want to delete the frequent calls be sure to uncheck everything but that.
