Help Remove HD voice icon

So google is failing me on this. I can't seem to get a relevant search item.

I just upgraded to 4.1.2 and I've right away got the HD icon in the notifier bar.. really just.. it serves no purpose..don't need to see it. how can I get rid of it? For some reason can't even find any settings for that.

Galaxy S3, but I guess this should appear with 4.1.2 on any device.. as it appeared immediately after upgrade

Here it is if someone needs to see it

Zero..as I said it matches "hd voice" identically except the color, so it has to be related to that. As far as I can tell it's probably telling me I have HD voice service available, but really I don't need to see that kind of notification all the time.

I can't even find any settings for HD voice at all on my device.

Never even heard of HD Voice or seen anything regarding that on my phone, must be carrier or app specific. Definitely not on my unbranded phone or a 4.1.2 feature.

It's absolutely an android feature. Some carriers have not enabled it, but it is a stock feature. Either way, I don't need to stare at this icon all the time.

Well as I said I'm not tied to a carrier branded phone. It's not a feature I've ever seen or heard of. Sorry I can't be any help.

I found it. If you go into call settings, there is an option for HD voice. However the only option is to enable/disable. Pretty stupid if you ask me. the icon serves no real purpose.
