remove icons from the menu

does anybody know if there is a way to remove/delete icon from the menu (not home screen). I dont use them all and would like to remove some. Also is there a way to rearrange them??? thanks

That only works for apps you download...All of the stock apps I checked don't have the option to uinstall...since I'd love to get rid of the stupid Amazon MP3 Store app

Yes, with root, you get FULL read/write access to the bootloader (or something). If you're thinking of rooting, do your research first
