Help Remove lag fix

aroid48

Newbie
Hi i installed the ryanzas lag fix from the market a couple of days ago. yesterday i did a factory reset and reinstalled it to see if it was still applied so i can remove it. when i try to remove the extools thing it wont let me and when i try to undo lagfix it wont let me and when i try to reapply it it says there is one already applied. how do i completely get rid of it?

Nevermind guys i figured it out. thanks though.

when you click the undo option what did it say? When i clicked it the first time it had an error, broken pipe or something. I clicked it again and it went through but i thought it crashed because it was stuck on the same thing for a long time, so i clicked it again and it said there was already one applied. I just waited another 10 minutes and left it alone and voila its gone.

when i try to remove ext2 tools it says it appear you have a lag fix installed. removing ext2 tools could cause your device to no longer boot. (/system/bin/playlogos1 less than 5kb). i have to wait 40% battery charge before i can see what it says for undo lagfix.

okay so for lag fix it says you already appear to have on installed (/system/bin/playlogos1 less than 5 kb) and for undo lag fix it says i dont have one installed (free space on /data matches /data/data)

Care to give us a detailed explanation of what you did? Might help others out. No obligation, but I for one am curious.

i went into the bin folder and deleted the playlogos1 file and reinstalled it from the app and i had the option to undo the lag fix after that.

how did you remove the lag fix, how do I get to de Bin?

thanks.

Where do I find the bin

Uh...right in the middle of a Titanium Backup at the moment...when it's done I'll verify, but if I remember right it's /system/bin where you'll find playlogos1.

There are some folders that something like ES File Explorer or ASTRO File Manager can't read the contents of. Root Explorer (File Manager) - Android app on AppBrain sees all however. If you're rooted you should have this app anyway.

Just checked...yeah, that's where playlogos1 is located, /system/bin. On the root of the internal SD card if you've not been there before.
