Remove magnetic leftovers from fridge

I took some magnets down and they left some crud. How do I get rid of that? Can I just scrub it?

its probably rust or something. yeah just scrub it off.

I’d use a cleaning type of car wax.
Scrubbing will probably scuff the finish, especially if you use a Teflon cleaning pad, etc. just a sponge and some dawn would be okay, but will likely take a lot of elbow grease.

Is the fridge painted or stainless steel? If traditional cleaning products like Windex or Fantastik don't work you may have to be more aggressive.
