Remove not-installed apk

I was trying to install Amazon App on my HTC Inspire 4G, but for some reason ATT prevents users from installing apk from unknown sources. I guess the problem can't be solved unless I root my phone.

Anyway, I tried twice so there were two copies of Amazon App on my phone, which were downloaded but not installed. I would like to delete those two files to release the internal memory.

Where can I find those files and how can I delete them?

Thanks a lot.

If I connect my phone to the computer, which path should I follow to find those files?

Left, right, straight for two miles, another left at the grocery store and then three more rights when you get into town.

Once there, tell the man on the corner with the brim hat that "the eagle flys at midgnight" and you'll be set.

I use ES File Explorer myself. You can let it search for the file you're looking for (although a search of the sdcard can take quite a while if you have a lot on it). It'd probably be quicker to open it directly to the sdcard and then just open the /downloads directory.

If it has been downloaded from the market, it may well not be on the SD card, which will mean that it is in the cache/downloads file within the phone and if as Jumper says, he/she wants to release internal memory, then it certainly isn't on the SD card.

I dont think you can download the Amazon Market from the Android Market ;)

Anyways, I should stop trying to be funny and be helpful.

@OP google "Sideload Wonder Machine" no rooting necessary
