Remove Soft Keypad When Finished Typing?

I have a Pantech Breakout, but I'm thinking my issue is with an Android feature. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. I'm also trying to understand what is provided by Android and what is provided by the Breakout.

Issue: When finished typing, is there a way to remove the keypad? After typing a message on a website, for example, it is difficult to scroll to the SEND button and hit it accurately in the small space on the screen that shows the website when the keypad is up. After finding and successfully hitting the SEND button, the keypad retracts automatically, but is there a way I can tell it to retract/close?

Yes hit the back button should do the trick without going to the previous page or what not. enjoy the breakout its a great phone.

Not sure about the Pantech phones, but I know that on my HTC while in the browser there usually is a key on the lower-left corner that will allow me to "hide" the keyboard.
