Removing app from my Application Manager

When I first got my phone, I chose some iffy apps to download. I have removed all of them, but there are four that are still showing up in my Application Manager as waiting to be downloaded. I am never going to download them, so I want to delete all traces of them from my phone. I don't see any way to do that. Can someone tell me how I can delete apps waiting for download from my Application Manager? Thanks!

Waiting for download doesn't really do anything, but if it bothers you, download them, install them, then uninstall them.

Otherwise if you are on the latest Google Play edition in your "All Apps" section you can remove applications and I have found that this also can update your device and remove them from the app manager.
