Removing Card Info

When I go to remove my card info from Google Checkout I get this message:
"The following orders will be affected by removing this credit card:" and it lists the purchased apps.

Does anyobody know if anything actually happens? I can't seem to find an answer about this anywhere. Thanks for the help.
