removing gmail account

[Android Question]

I have a avoca tablet that I no longer use, I want to pass it on to another family member but I can, t remove the gmail account as there are no options to let me do it, any ideas how this can be done.9

Normally you can:

Menu button
System settings
Under accounts select Google
Select the account
Use the remove account button at the bottom

If this is no good on your device try going online to Google.com with a pc and disconnecting the device from the account there.
