Help removing icons from homepage

My old samsung had a drag to trash option but my new lg showtime doesn't seem to work that way. Any suggestions for cleaning up the clutter?

You should be able to just tap and hold an app icon then you should be able to drag it to the top where it says remove. I have an lg Optimus Showtime and that's how it worked for me.

yeah i'm trying to fix my lg optimus showtime right now, but i'm not getting any replies in my forum but many many veiws :/ i really need to get my phone fixed
