Help Removing old application data from SD

dunyno1

Newbie
I was wanting to remove all of the old application folders so it is back to its original/factory state without any of the app's I installed folders on the card. what is the safest way to do this or even just what are the original folders not to delete?

Thanks,
Duncan

The easiest way to do this would be to backup what you want to keep from the memory card onto a PC then simply format the memory card with the phone:

Main Menu > Settings > Storage > Unmount SD Card > Format SD Card.

This will clear all data that has been added to the card then you can simply restore the data you want from the PC.

but I do not know what specific folders I need to keep. I dont want to brick my phone be mistake by removing a folder i shouldnt have...

Do you have any applications that you have installed that you wish to keep? Other wise it would just be media content you have added that you would backup and formatting the memory card will then not cause any problems.

no i have no apps installed, its just the folders theyve left, so removing everything will not cause any problems? eg none of the essential folders are stored on the card? all media is backed up on my laptop already so no problems there
