Removing Pre-Installed Games

I found a few threads relating to this topic, but they were quite old. Some referred users to root access. I was wondering if msybe this had changed? I just would like to maybe re-claim this memory for myself and others apps / games that I like to use / play.

Still need to be rooted, don't think that fact will ever change unfortunately!

Thanks for the reply! I actually was calling T-Mobile as well trying to figure this out. I was able to create an account, post a message, and receive this reply. I'll hang up with T-Mobile now (I have grown to hate their hold music). And no, I have not spoken to anyone yet at T-Mobile.
