Help Removing ROMs

I am selling one of my Touchpads and I want to remove both the Cyanogen and AOKP ROMs from the device and reinstall Cyanogen. I want to be absolutely sure none of my personal data remains.

I already performed a factory reset of WebOS and that comes up in the startup screen as expected.

Using TWRP I did a factory reset of the device, but now just AOKP comes up even if I choose Cyanogen in the boot menu.

At this point I don't want to burn a bunch of calories trying to figure this out - I just want to blow AOKP off the device and reinstall a fresh version of Cyanogen for the new owner.

If you had a backup of CM9, you could restore that, then factory reset. When done you can format recovery from within settings or maybe TWRP. Otherwise you can delete CWM and AOPK from boot partition and reflash CM9/gApps from TWRP (wiping data of course). Don't wipe sdcard until you have everything flashed tho. :D

Boot partition is restored with a backup so would take care of anything you see in moboot.
 
I ended up setting up WebOS, installing all the necessary items for CyanogenMOD and the boot loader, then went back and did a secure erase of WebOS. I would have liked to put TWRP 2.1 on it, but since everything was doing what I wanted I was reluctant to burn additional calories for this.

Looks like it accomplished what I wanted. WebOS now opens with the setup screen, and the very basic install of Android (CM9) is running without having an account or configuration done.

I know the person it is going to, so I'm not terribly worried if there is something on there - I am sure he's going to flash it and may even go to a different ROM, possibly AOKP.

One lesson I learned form this: ACME Installer deletes the ZIPs when it is done, so attempting to go in and reflash something that you originally placed in the CMInstall folder won't work because the ZIPs are gone!

Yup, if a file is still in cminstall folder, it didn't get installed, so it's not a place to store things long term. :D

I generally DL with Goo Manager and install with CWM, Rom Manager or TRWP, so most of my files are in Goomanager folder on the sdcard.
