Removing Root detection

Hey guys, I'm really new to the android world and I'm stuck with a problem.

An app called Yelo Play (app for people in Belgium) won't play any movies with root, and I want to remove that.

I remember that Flex 2 (for iOS, Cydia) could do that by changing the library of an APP (making the pass-through= False)

Is there any app for android that does this?

Welcome to our AndroidForums, @Kurii38 :).

There are "root cloak" apps out there and temp root uninstallers, but I'd be surprised if those work for all apps and devices in all situations. Much older versions of root (on older versions of Android) were indeed easier to hide or set-aside, but that was also device and Android-version dependent.

There are so many "tells" for root (i.e., indicators that root is or was once installed) that it would be difficult to truly hide traces of root from an app that really looks deeply for those indicators.

I've not personally tried any of these hiders or cloakers partly in fear of actually losing root (and I've not had a case where an app failed to run if root was installed), but I just wanted to reply back with my thoughts on your question.

Cheers!
