Renaming folders

Kamau

Android Expert
Another question from a newbie.
I am trying to rename a folder I created for ring tones, but cannot find how.
Anyone have an answer to share?

Welcome to the forums!

You can do this from your PC while using your SD card through the USB cable, or you can use Astro File Manager, free in the Market, and just long-press the folder in question and choose Edit.

I know you can make folders on the home screen, but can you make a new folder in the apps page? I want to make a new folder to move all my bloatware into. This way I wont have to scroll through them when looking for my apps.

Then what's the point of having a folder if you don't want it on the screen, that way you don't have to do all that scrolling. You might want to try an app from the market..

A folder on the desktop gives easy access.

A folder in the app drawer would give easy avoidance.

And the Captivate's app access isn't like std Android, it's sideways with chuckles for icons.

I get it.

I apologize for not responding to your help until now, but I have been in to getting use to this Android phone. It is an amazing piece of tech.
I also want to thank you all for your help and comments. Hope I can return the favor sometime.

I don't think so, but launcherpro gives you the option to hide specific apps in the app drawer.
