Renaming Widget

I wonder whether there is an application which can rename a widget (not an application). Thanks for your help.

What do you mean "rename a widget"? Widget names don't show on the screen when in use, so I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.

You'd probably have to edit the app that produces the widget is my guess by the way.

The widget name (Lock) shows on the homescreen instead.

That's weird. You are sure this is a widget and not just an app launcher.

The simple solution is probably to use a different launcher, or check your current launcher's settings. Most replacement launchers (e.g. Nova, which I use) let you choose whether to show labels below icons or not, and in many cases let you edit them too. Though as I say I've not encountered labels below actual widgets before.
