Help Reoccuring Boot loop.......any ides?

Seriously think my Merit is loosing its mind.
Its been constantly boot looping since I bought & activated it. Its become really annoying over the months, shutting down even during a call.

Net10 says either I touched the sim upon placing it in the phone causing it to malfunction, or I have a small core issue. None the less I dont want to wait the 3-4 weeks wait for the process of sending it back just to get a refurbished one sent back.in return.

Guess what Im asking is do any one of you know how I can fix this issue?
Id like to root my phone but am scared it will bootloop during my attempts, screwing my whole system up.

Advice, hints, tips, etc......greatly appreciated!!!!

it should not take that long to get replacement. Have you tried going back to where you bought it? You could get att fusion ll phone and use net 10 sim card in it.

hey

does it bootloop (show that ZTE starting screen over and over) or is it more like rebooting (just shuts off randomly and then turns itself back on?

Eh...I've had four phones through Net10 and the ones sent back always ended up like this:
First one froze up, called Net10, took week in half to get box with Fedx envelope in it.Filled out info placed phone charger & battery in it & sent it off. Two weeks later refurbished phone arrived.

2nd phone LG android (cant remember exactly what) but I turned it off to charge one night & the next morning I turned it on....it wouldnt go futher than the blue screen. Called, week later fedx package to send it back arrived, sent it off that afternoon and around 3 weeks I had my replacement which never booted up.
Instead of sending it back, I let the kids play with it and went and got a lil cheap one until I bought this one.

No, walmart wont take it back even though Im an employee. Our store only give a 15 day return policy when it comes to cell phones. I've had mine about 5 months now.

Shuts completly down then comes back o repeatedly.. My sisters does it too, someone called it a constant bootloop so, I just assumed thats what the deal was.
Maybe a refurbished phone would be best.....unless I had someone to walk me through the steps to finding a fix for it.

Wish I could give remote axcess somehow to someone who knew what they are doing and let them run test, repairs, upgrades, root it....whatever they thought was necessary to improve the quality of it to make it function better. Doubt that tho cuz Im not even sure thats possible......is it?

I let my battery drain to 0 and the phone shut off. I plugged it in and let it charge, but when I restarted it it did the boot loop thing to me. I had to do a factory reset. Works fine now--(kinda reminds me of the good ol' days of windows, a format reinstall fixed so many issues :) )

I've initially let it drain completly in the beginning, done factory reset.....none of which has worked. Got some really great advice and assistance tho. The repairs so far have stopped it from flashing like it began doing the other day.
Its a work in progress, mainly because I'm new to all of it. But like I said, flashing has stopped, boot loops are not as often now. I figure by the time its rooted and now that I got a few great people to turn to, and a great guide.....all the kinks will be straightened out in no time.

The running the battery down and rebooting to factory restore were my first attempts before anything else. Its when that failed and my sister was having same issues with hers that I found the forum. Im glad I did too, I love my merit,:not so much factory issued, and Im happy to found such great people here who have previous experience with it to advise me in all of this :) A few more tweaks and it'll be fit just for my personality.
:)

I had hoped that was all that was wrong with my phone, but that device had other issues. Im glad to get it going again.:thumbup:
