ok guys, i need a lil help.

i've been reading threads all over the internet on how to unpack/modify/repack my boot.img. i've made some progress but now it seems i'm stuck... when i repack my boot.img it ends up being a little more than half the size of the original. all i've done is edit my init.rc. even trying to repack from no change is the same. my question is, can some KIND souled dev please explain to me what i'm missing? i'm using cygdrive to unpack/repack if that makes any difference. i'm also stuck using windows to do this, so any help is appreciated.....

thank you

I'm just curious.. How did you run this on Cygwin? :D

After a nice smoke break to help my glaucoma...

I looked again at what I have and it seems the repack is not including the kernel. Just a lil more I info for anyone trying to help.

this thread gave me a good start:
