Help repair advice needed (UK)

Hey there,

Just been asked to help repair a One X screen that had been cracked.
Though a bit fidley, I got it stripped down and the screen replaced which is now working (yay, go me...).
However, in getting it back together I have noticed that I am getting no sound from the unit.

The headphone output does work so that's a start. The diagnostic I ran does give me a sound output from the ear piece too.
There is no sound though from the speaker playing music or using the telephone keypad.

I have done a factory reset on the device but as yet nothing....
I plan in taking it apart again to make sure all the cables are firmly seated just in case something has come loose.

My question is - is there anything in particular I should look for?
And if all else fails, is there a reputable 3rd party repair centre anyone has used with reasonable costs that they could recommend?

Cheers

D

Give those a try mate, I just got mine fixed with a guy in Newcastle and although he does accept items through the post I think it would add to the expense of getting it sorted. I had my screen replaced and haven't had any problems so I'm guessing it may not be connected up right.

Thanks for the effort.

My friend had gone to see them already and they wouldn't touch it with barge pole...
I had hoped for feedback of anyone having used any of the guys advertising online as you never know how reputable they can be.

On a good note, I stripped the unit down again to be sure and again gave me no sound. With some firmer pressing together it finally started working again! I'm assuming it was some poor contact with the case but it should be all good now.

Thanks again
