Repeated text

So several days ago I got a text from someone. Since then most but not all of the texts I have received from that person have been duplicates of this text, with an identical time stamp etc. I know for a fact that the person is sending a real text with information I want to read when this happens but somewhere along the way it is turning into a backdated duplicate of this old text. It is incredibly frustrating, what is going on?

Hey there JiayoJames, welcome to the forums!

I, too, had this same problem with my GNex with my gf, she would continue to send this one message to me over and over and she had no control over it.

Frustrating, because it's hard to determine whos device is causing it. While i do not receive those messages anymore, i am assuming it was my device.

I would try performing a hard battery reboot on the device my removing the battery and reinserting it and restarting the device.

Otherwise try using a messaging app instead of the stock one.

Lastly, you could try rooting the device, i know mine is rooted and i no longer receive those messages, i do not know if rooting was the fix but it certainly could be related to it.

Yeah i thought this could be, but i never contacted Verizon about it, the problem just seemed to go away :s:

Because they probably already fixed it. I usually get some issues like this when my network is repairing towers which affect my area or the sender's area.

it could be something as it would also be a Internal error or Network error....
