Repeatedly losing 3G until running Update Profile

Hi,

Been running Harmonia 3.17 for many months without any issues. Over the last few days, I keep losing 3G, and the only way to get it back is to go into the Settings menu and run the Update Profile.

This fixes the issue, but it's getting annoying as when 3G comes back I often have a few texts come through that were sent a while ago.

Anyone know why this happens, or a permanent fix ? For context, my wife's phone is set up with Harmonia 3.17 as well, but obviously has a different variety of apps on it. It does not have this issue. I'm wondering whether I've tweaked something accidentally, or whether this is a possible hardware issue.

Thanks.

Strange because of the text issue, texts are normally sent and received by the cellular signal, not 3G.

This could be due to network upgrades in your area, or installing the ROM incorrectly, or even a radio issue with your phone. Updating your profile refreshes your data service parameters such as username and password to the Virgin/Sprint Network so that you can access data/voice/text/mms other features. So it could very well be a tower being upgraded in your area, have you tried updating the PRL, whats your wife's PRL on her phone? Her phone could be handing off to another tower while one is being upgraded.

Sprint's cellular signal (1x RTT) is a 3G technology from CDMA2000, voice and data traffic are handled in the same router at a cell site, voice always gets priority over data. Ever notice your 3G faster at night when a tower isn't loaded with voice/data traffic?
