Help Repeating custom notification sound problem?

Hi all, I have been running with custom notification sounds (a single 1-second clip) on my SD card for a while now. After updating to 4.5.605, upon receiving a notification the sound will simply repeat over and over and over until I clear the notification. Needless to say, this is quite annoying.

Does anyone know why the sound repeats now, and how I can fix the issue?

Perhaps I can convert the files - can anyone tell me what format/codec the audio notifications are on a stock Droid X?
