Help Repeating system updates

I have a Galaxy S6. In the last week I have had repeated notifications that my system needs to update. I allow it and it says it has completed successfully. But a day or so later I get the same notification all over again.

Any ideas why this is happening? Do I need to turn the phone off completely for it to take? Is it Android sequentially tweaking their updates? What?

I'd guess it's a combination of your carrier and the manufacturer releasing the updates.
Contact both, maybe they can provide the answers?

Thank you for taking the time. I switched to Verizon about four months ago...I guess I can go talk to them. I wouldn't know how to contact the people who make the Android operating system.

Try wiping the system cache partition. You need to boot up your S6 into its Recovery Mode, then select the 'wipe cache partition' option. Then just restart your phone and see if that message pops up again within a few days.

Otherwise, more details on your phone please -- exact model I.D. and what version of Android it's currently running.
